Kristen Scott Music Kristen Scott is a Calgary-based singer-songwriter, music educator, and mental health advocate. She blends artistry, education, and advocacy into a career that inspires both students and audiences. Roles & Highlights • Singer-Songwriter: YYC Music Awards 2025 Nominated album The Pages of Us, YYC Music Awards 2024 Nominated album Let Christmas Fill Your Heart, Album Live (2011), and multiple singles throughout the years • Music Educator: Over 25 years of experience teaching Elementary and Intermediate voice, piano, and theory in her home studio in Calgary, AB • Mental Health Advocate: Promotes awareness and healing through her music and story after the loss of her husband to suicide in 2018. Education & Credentials • Bachelor of Child Studies & Certificate in Children’s Mental Health, Mount Royal University. • Certified RCM Elementary and Intermediate Specialist (Voice, Piano, Theory). Community Engagement • Founder of Kristen Scott and the Harmonic Gems, a harmony, a cappella vocal group of her students ages 6-18 years of age. The group provides these vocal students opportunities to perform at local festivals, throughout the community and in local holiday markets and events. • Active presence on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, sharing her journey in music, teaching, and advocacy of mental health awareness, suicide prevention, sexual abuse and depression.
